About GuruAnime

GuruAnime is a catalogue of anime series and episodes with subtitles in multiple languages. Our aim is simple: when an episode airs in Japan, you should be able to find it here within hours, with the right title, the right episode number, and the languages it actually carries.

Where our information comes from

Series and episode data comes from two open databases. AniList supplies titles, broadcast schedules, genres and voice cast. TMDB supplies episode synopses and episode still images. Air times shown on the schedule come from the AniList broadcast calendar and are converted to your own timezone in your browser.

Audio and subtitle languages listed on an episode page are not copied from a release name. They are read from the video file itself, so what the page says is what the player will actually offer.

How the catalogue is kept honest

Every episode page is checked against its own video before it is published. A page without a working video stays unpublished rather than showing something that does not play. Episode images are matched by broadcast date, not by counting, so an episode never carries a still from a different episode.

Found a mistake?

Use the Report Error button on any episode page, or write to us through the contact page. Wrong subtitle language, wrong episode, missing image: all of it is useful, and all of it gets fixed at the source rather than on one page.
