Privacy Policy

This page explains what GuruAnime collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people use. It sets cookies in your browser and records a shortened form of your IP address, the pages you open, and general information such as country, browser and device type. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Comments. If you leave a comment, we store the name and email address you type, the comment itself, and your IP address. The email address is never shown publicly and is used only to recognise repeat commenters and to reduce spam.

Server logs. Our web server records requests with IP address, time and page, as every web server does. These logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising networks that profile you across other sites. We do not require an account to watch anything.

Third parties

Images are loaded from the TMDB and AniList content networks, and video is served from our own streaming node. These services receive your IP address because your browser connects to them directly, which is how the web works for any embedded media.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Write to us through the contact page and we will answer.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works without them; only the analytics counting stops.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date below changes with it.
